Chico: Attractions and more...
Bidwell Park
‘Bidwell Park’ was established in the year 1905 on 20th of July, through donation given by ‘Annie Bidwell’. She went on to donate around 2500 acres (of land) to City of Chico. The city has, since then, bought extra land, like Cedar Grove (1922), along with 1200 acres in ‘upper Bidwell Park’ in the year 1995. The present scenario is such that it is the 9th biggest municipal park within California; also one amongst the 25 biggest municipal parks within the US.
Chico Museum
Chico Museum is known for having hosted around 90 exhibits which go on to celebrate Chico’s distinct heritage since its opening in 1986 in the month of February. Exhibits keep on changing a number of times every year and are inclusive of high-status traveling exhibits, along with the ones created by ‘Museum’ focusing on history of Butte County and local Chico. The visitors would get to know about the present as well as past of Chico through this museum.
