Corona Del Mar comprises of land on San Joaquin Hills’ seaward face, along southern side of ‘Avocado Street’ up to city limits; along with development of ‘Irvine Terrace’, on the northern side of Avocado.
Corona Del Mar was settled in early twentieth century. Its older region comprises of free-standing, closely-spaced, detached, ‘single-family’ houses, that too, of varied architecture. They are concentrated along sides of ‘Pacific Coast Highway’.
Corona Del Mar doesn’t have locally administered ‘municipal government’. However, it happens to receive services of municipal level from city of ‘Newport Beach’. Also, it has a ‘representative’ to ‘Newport Beach City Council’.
Corona Del Mar can boast of humid climate. Hence, one can infer that summers are not too hot, and winters are not too cold. The period between November and February would prove to be the best place to pay a visit.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Corona Del Mar was 13407.
