The Naval Amphibious Base Coronado (NAB Coronado) is located on Silver Strand amid the San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It is a prominent Navy shore command and supports more than 30 tenant commands. It also form the West Coast focal point for training related to special and expeditionary warfare operations. The base occupies over 5,000 military personnel and 7,000 students, reservists as well as transients. The complex located at the naval base is shaped like a swastika when seen from above, while two other building shaped like airplanes appear to be flying towards the swastika. The base is controlled by the United States Navy.
