The Orange County Fair is known as the OC Fair. It is a twenty one day long event and takes place every summer at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa. The first such fair took place in the year 1890, and had some minor exhibits in Santa Ana along with a horse race. From 1889 to 1894, the fair was run by the Orange County Community Fair Corporation, and it was then taken over by the Orange County Fair Association, Inc. this fair is the mostly awaited annual events. From 1949 to the present, this fair has grown from a small community five day celebration to a 21 day festival. Since 1953, the fair is held in Costa Mesa boundaries.
