Culver City is located in western Los Angeles County in California. The founder of the Culver City is Harry Culver. It was founded in the year 1913. The city is bordered by West Los Angeles, Mar Vista, and Palms in the northern side, the Baldwin Hills and Ladera Heights in the eastern side, Los Angeles and neighbourhoods of Playa Vista and Venice in the eastern side and Westchester in the southern side. The landmark geographic characteristic of Culver City is the Ballona Creek that runs from the northeast to the southwest direction. The city covers a total area of 13.2 square kilometres. About 11 kilometres on the south of the Culver City is the Los Angeles International Airport.The city has a total population of 38,816 and a population density of 2,932.9 people per square kilometres. The city follows a time zone of PST (UTC-8). Culver City has been an important place for motion pictures and television production due to the presence of MGM Studios. It is the headquarters of Sony Pictures Entertainment and National Public Radio West.
