Located in California is the city of El Centro which is the county seat of the Imperial County. It is found in the western region of San Diego and boasts of being the largest city in the Imperial Valley. The name of the city 'El Centro' means 'Centre' in Spanish. This city is rightly named because it is the core urban area of this region with the leading businesses in the fields of retail, agriculture and transportation. This town had recorded to have a total land area of 24.9 square kilometres. The census that took place here recently showed that this place has a population of 40,563 people. This city is basically made up of farmers who have progressed on to the retail and food processing industries. This city holds the largest numbers of Asian-Americans. This city has a desert type arid climate with plenty of sunshine throughout the year. The rainfall is very low i.e. 76mm. the winters are also warm.
