EI Segundo, a city which belongs to Los Angeles County is located on the banks of Santa Monica Bay, California. It was incorporated in the year 1971 and had a population of 16,033 as per the census of 2000. As per the estimation of United States Census Bureau, EI Segundo covers an area of 28.0 square kilometres. Recent census of the city estimated that the city has a population of 16, 526. As per the 2000 census, the racial makeup of city included 83.61%25 Whites, 0.47%25 Native Americans, 1.17%25 Blacks or African Americans, 0.29%25 Pacific Islanders, 0.47%25 Native Americans, 6.41%25 Asians and 3.15 %25 other communities. The city’s Los Angeles International Airport which does major part of the transportation is situated at the northern part of EI Segundo. There are a number of foreign companies especially aerospace companies launched in EI Segundo. The city also houses the Space and Missile Systems Centre (SMC) and the Los Angeles Air Force Base.
