Humboldt Bay is situated along the North Coast of California. This neighborhood is entirely within the Humboldt County. Here, there are more than 200 bird species and 50 species of fish. The Bay is the site of the largest commercial oyster production operation in California. Moreover, the neighborhood offers many facilities like large industrial docks and marinas serving hundreds of small to mid size boats and pleasure crafts. Geographically, Humboldt Bay is the only deep water bay in between Coos Bay in Oregon and San Francisco in California. Thus, this port is the only protected deep water port for the same distance.
