Fremont city lies in Alameda County of California State, US.
The city was incorporated in January 1956. During this formation, five small regions were merged together, namely Warm Springs, Niles, Mission San Jose, Irvington and Centerville.
Fremont lies on the southeast region of San Francisco Bay in Alameda. The city was given the name after the ‘Great Pathfinder’, John Charles Fremont.
As of the 2005 census, the city’s population was 210,158 people. Hence, Fremont became the 4th most populated city in the area of San Francisco Bay.
In 2001, the majority of people were refugees from Afghanistan.
Currently the population in the city is a combination of different races.
The city is under the influence of a Mediterranean climate. Hence, the summers are generally dry, while the winters are cool and humid.
