Tourist Guide Fullerton
The city of Fullerton is situated in the northern part of Orange County in California State of the United States.
The city was founded by Edward and George Amerige in 1887. However, it is named after the owner of the land, George H. Fullerton. Mr. Fullerton secured this area on behalf of the ATSF railway.
Since its beginning, the city has been well established in terms of its economy. It served as the agricultural centre of the state. Most of the farmers grew citrus fruits especially oranges.
Besides being an agricultural centre, Fullerton was important for petroleum extraction, manufacturing and transportation.
The California State University is located in Fullerton.
Fullerton lies at a convenient distance from notable cities and destinations in California.
As per the 2000 census, the population of this city is 126,003 people. The city experiences a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers, while the winters are cool and wet. The climate is pleasant throughout the year.
