Mavericks’ waves are deadly world famous surfing location in North Carolina. It is the winter destination for some of the world’s best big wave surfers. The 2009-2010 Mavericks Surf Contest will open in November 1st and it is a big wave contest season. The Maverick Surf Ventures owns and operates the contest. Every year, it brings 24 of the world’s greatest big wave legends.
