Hemet, a city of California belongs to the county Riverside. It is situated at San Jacinto Valley and takes around half of the valley area of 25.6 sq. miles. As of 2008, the city bears a population of 74, 185 of which racial makeup is sorted as 80.49%25 White, 1.20%25 Native American, 2.60%25 Black or African American, 0.13%25 Pacific Islander, 1.48%25 Asian and 10.58%25 other races. Hemet is famous for Ramona, the official and longest running outdoor plays of California. For around 20 years the city was called as the Tree City USA for people’s devotion towards the local forest. Incorporation of Hemet was in the year 1910. Transportation facilities for the city are provided by RTA, the rail service is provided by Amtrak and the air service is in the hands of the Hemet-Ryan Airport. Airports lying very close to the city are Ontario International Airport and Palm Springs International Airport. Streets of the city are mostly arranged in a standard grid.
