Hermosa Beach Pier had first been built in the year 1904. At that time, it had been made out of wood . Moreover, it went on to extend up to 500 ft. in to ocean. In the year 1913, ancient pier had been washed away. The novel one comprised of concrete having length of around 1000 ft. It was paved with ‘asphalt’ through whole of its length. In the year 1914, auditorium building got constructed.
