Tourist Guide Julian
Julian is an unincorporated community situated in San Diego County in California. This community is also an official California Historical Landmark number 412. The town was named by Drue Bailey after his cousin, Mike Julian, who was later elected as San Diego County Assessor. Originally occupied by the Kumeyaay people, Julian town experienced a gold rush after the American Civil War.
As of 2000 census, the community has a population of 1,621 people.2009 estimates show the population as 1,401 people.
As per the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 20.5 square kilometers of land. Located in mixed pine-oak woodland, the town is 4,235 feet above the sea level.
The precipitation average is 26 inches each year. It gets rainfall of 24 inches and 9 inches of snowfall each year. There are overall 261 sunny days in Julian. July is high with 90 degrees and January is low with 35 degrees.
