The Museum of Contemporary Art is an art museum focusing on the collections, preservation, exhibition and on the interpretation of works of art from 1950s to the present art work. This art museum was founded in the year 1941 as the art center in La Jolla, during which it was known as a community art center. Through 1950s and 60s, the organization operated as the La Jolla Art Museum.
