La Jolla Playhouse is a nonprofit theater in residence situated on the campus of the University of California in San Diego. Founded in 1947 by Mel Ferrer, Dorothy McGuire and Gregory Peck, this theater was reviewed under the leadership of Des McAnuff in 1983. This is a Tony award winning professional theater and has till now received more than 300 awards for theater excellence. This playhouse presents many education programs enriching the community and serving utmost facilities for the audience.
