Belmont Shore is a region of Long Beach that's usually buzzing with beach-goers, shoppers, residents, and visitors. During the summer, Belmont Shore closes Bayshore, its beachfront street, and converts the area into a pedestrian and bike-only zone.
Overlooking Naples Islands and the Long Beach peninsular, this beach is popular with those looking to sunbathe, swim, or frequent one of the many boutiques on 2nd Street. Belmont Shore is the perfect place to grab an iced coffee and spend the afternoon window-shopping.
The beach path is ideal for biking, skating, or running and the Belmont Memorial Pier is a popular spot for fishing. You’ll also find beach volleyball, a jetski ramp, and a dog beach.
However, be warned that parking is metered and the meter maids are not generous with time. Traffic tickets arrive the minute your meter expires.
