The Aquarium of the Pacific is quite a small aquarium, but with a diverse array of exhibits. It can get a little bit crowded when school field trips descend upon the exhibits, but if you arrive earlier in the morning or later in the afternoon you should avoid them. Try to go during the week, but avoid midday.
If it’s not crowded you can generally see everything in less than two hours. The sea otters and the shark tank are always a hit. If $25 bucks seems a little bit expensive, check out their discounts. They offer a 1/2 special during the evening. The surrounding area outside the aquarium is really nice with lots of restaurants and it’s a good way to spend an afternoon with your family or friends.
Be sure to check out the iPhone Visitor's Guide app and the podcasts on their website to create a personalized tour. Hours: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
