Rancho los Cerritos is a public museum open for tours, programs and events. It was built in 1844. It depicts the rich history of Spain, Mexico, America and California along with the families who played an important role in the transformation of south California in its transformation from its beginning to a modern, urban society.
This site is a national, state and Long Beach historic landmark which includes historic gardens, a research library and archives.
