Long Beach Parks and Garden: Information about Shoreline Aquatic Park

Shoreline Aquatic Park is a lovely little park located between the Long Beach Arena and Downtown Shoreline Marina. There is a wide open grassy area that is perfect for picnics and events. From the park you can see the harbor and Shoreline Village across the way and The Aquarium of the Pacific is in the area, which has a good exhibit of local marine life. The Queen Mary is also easily accessible from the park.

Shoreline Aquatic Park is a beautiful and simple waterfront park with amazing views. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a nice lunch after a morning spent at the aquarium.

The Park is also connected to other coastal areas within Long Beach by the Shoreline Pedestrian Path, the best place in Long Beach to go for a long walk, run or bike ride. You can also rent a pedal-powered cart, but watch out for other cyclists on the path. I can’t tell you how many times these things have nearly caused bike accidents.

To get away from the crowds of some of Long Beach’s more touristic destinations, plan a bike ride on the bike path and be sure to stop by Shoreline Aquatic Park for a nice picnic and some great views.
