The airport is the 5th busiest airport in the world and handles more than 61 million passengers per year.
It is the largest airport in the Greater Los Angeles area and there are direct flights from here to the Middle East, North and Latin America, Oceania, Asia and Europe.

There are taxis and private shuttle companies which provide passenger transport to and from the airport.
