Los Angeles, home of the world’s superstars, is a world-class city in California, USA. It is the largest city of the state and the second largest in the country, with a population of more than four million people.
The city enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild, wet winters (ranging around 18°C) and hot, humid summers (around 28°C but it can get up to 40°C on occasions). Los Angeles’ proximity to the Pacific Ocean, results in it receiving cool breezes that temper the temperatures. The region lies in an earthquake-prone zone.
The city is the seat of the Los Angeles County and is served by the Los Angeles International Airport, which is the fifth busiest airport in the world. The Los Angeles- Long Beach Harbour is the third largest container shipping port in the world.
Los Angeles has received global fame owing to its motion picture and music industry.
