Playa Vista is a popular real estate neighborhood in the western area of Los Angeles, California. Located across 1,087 acres of land in the northern section of Westchester, Playa Vista is a premier area in LA to live, work, shop and play. The relative youth of the community means the neighborhood is constantly growing and changing, so it’s always buzzing with activity and life.
As it is located right on the fringes of the Loyola Merrymount University campus, elements of college culture might trickle into the area slightly. The diversity in real estate opportunities makes Playa Vista a suitable living environment for a variety of people, whether young single professionals, newlyweds with children or older married couples.
In Playa Vista, there are single-family homes, apartments and condos, town houses and urban-style lofts to suit all types of residence needs. In addition, the town itself is quaint, filled with commercial and recreational amenities that are convenient and intimate, such as the parks—Concert Park and Longwood Park—the Playa Vista Library, the farmer’s market, and the easily-accessed beach, which is just about a mile away. The neighborhood is also known for its efforts to support the “green” movement. The strong sense of community is a rare connection to find in such a big, bustling city like Los Angeles, so if you are thinking LA for the big move, you might want to think Playa Vista.
