Pepperdine University is a Christian university committed to high standards of academic excellence and Christian values. Here, the students are strengthened for lives with a purpose, service and leadership. This independent medium sized university enrolls almost 8,300 students in five colleges and schools. The main campus is the Malibu campus, an 830 acre of campus overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Founded by George Pepperdine in 1937, the university was at first a small undergraduate college. The university is religiously affiliated with the Churches of Christ, of which Mr. Pepperdine was a lifelong member.
