Malibu Creek State Park is a California state park situated near Malibu. It opened in 1976 for the public. Majority of the park is made up land which was donated by Ronald Reagan and Bob Hope. Other parts of the ranch where were later added were owned by fox studios and paramount studios. Malibu Creek State Park stretches from below Malibu Lake to Piuma Road. Tapia Park has been recently incorporated as a subunit of this park. This State Park is popular for many sports activities like hiking, horseback riding, bird watching and fishing opportunities. 25 mile of this creek is the principal water course of Santa Monica Mountains.
