Hot Creek is a stream in Mono County in California popular for swimming and fishing. The stream water is from melting snow as it leaves Twin Lakes 8,500 feet above the sea level. This stream is cold with 10 degree Celsius. This stream is joined by warmer water from the thermal springs in the Hot Creek State Fish Hatchery. However, due to unstable geothermal activity, Hot Creek has been closed.
