This placid seaside area Marina del Rey is located at Los Angeles County at California. The city has an elevation of 16 ft (5 m) and a time zone of Pacific (PST) (UTC-8). It is bordered by Venice, Ballona Creek and Playa del Rey. The popular Los Angels International Airport is four miles north of Marina del Rey. The city covers an area of 3.8 kilometer square of which 1.5 kilometer square is filled with water and 2.3 kilometer square is land. The city is admired as a designed harbor that includes moorings for small boats and pleasure craft and the city is rich with well-furnished hotels, high rise condos, shops, apartments and furnished restaurants. The city bears a mixed population of different religions that includes 82.46%25 Whites, 0.16%25 Native Americans, 4.68%25 African Americans, 0.16%25 Pacific Islanders, 3.03%25 people from other two religions, 8.21%25 Asians and 1.30%25 people from other religions.
