Mendocino can be described as one of the census-designated places, i.e. CDPs located in county of Mendocino, California, US.
Mendocino lies at the distance of 15 km on the southern side of ‘Fort Bragg’, that too, at the height of 47 m above sea level.
Mendocino had been founded in the year 1850 in the form of a ‘logging community’. Moreover, it had originally been named ‘Meiggsville’, after ‘Henry Meiggs’. Since the year 1987, this place has been site of Mendocino Music Festival, i.e. classically-based, and, at the same time, a ‘musically distinct’ chain of concerts; which gets held on a yearly basis in large circus-kind performance tent upon Main street of town in ‘Mendocino Headlands State Park’.
As per US Census Bureau, area of Mendocino, on the whole, comes out to be 19.2 sq. Km; out of which 69.45%25 consists of water. This place receives rainfall of around 17 inches every year. Snowfall does not occur. July proves to be the hottest month; with temperature of around 93 degree F; whereas January to be the coolest; with temperature of around 38 degree F.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of West Sacramento was 824.
