The city of Modesto has a vibrant atmosphere. The people here are enthusiastic and always welcome tourists in a friendly manner.

The mild weather of the city attracts enormous number of tourists throughout the year. The McHenry Mansion is a historical construction built in 1880. It was built by a local banker and rancher named, Robert McHenry. This magnificent mansion is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Across the street from the Mansion is the McHenry Museum. This museum holds a huge collection of pieces from the history of Modesto. Salida is a town located on the northern side of Modesto.

This town is famous for the Blue Diamond Nut and Gift Shop. A magnificent bronze statue of the legendary filmmaker, George Lucas is located in George Lucas Plaza. The statue was inspired by the 1973 comedy film, American Graffiti, which was directed by Lucas.

Art lovers can visit the Gallo Centre. This is a famous centre of the performing arts. The Modesto Arch is a neon arch located in the downtown area of the city.
