Death Valley
This is a desert situated in California and is the hottest and lowest valley in the whole of United States. Located in the southeast of the Sierra Nevada range in the Mojave Desert and the Great Basin, it boasts Death Valley National Park.
Hoover Dam
Herbert Hoover who played a prime role in the construction of the dam rechristened it to Hoover Dam, formerly known as Boulder Dam. It is situated on the Black Canyon of the Colorado River bearing a concrete arch gravity very near to the boundary between Nevada and Arizona. It is located 48 km towards the southeast of Las Vegas.
Amboy Crater
Lava Field and Amboy Crater is an extinct cinder cone in North America. The location of the crater is halfway between Needles and Barstow at a distance of 120 km from both the cities.
