The Monterey Lighthouse is known as the Point Pinos Lighthouse. This lighthouse was constructed under the guidance of Francis Kelly and Francis Gibbons. This lighthouse is the oldest continuous operating lighthouse on the California Coast. Pinos means pines, as in tree and there are a lot of them down to the coast in the Pacific Grove and the Monterey area, this attraction is now a part of the Pacific Grove Museum.
