It is located on the site of a former sardine cannery on Cannery Row in Monterey, and is one of the largest aquariums in the world. It has an annual attendance of 1.8 million and holds 35,000 plants and animals representing 623 species and is one of the best designed aquariums.On an average a visit to the Aquarium lasts 2 to 3 hours, but one can easily spend the whole day here and still have more to see.
