It was founded in 1887 and incorporated in 1954. The ten square-mile city is still growing yet maintaining the rich values of its establishment. It mostly occupies young families and retirees, providing a healthy residential mix of people and solid sense of community. The public enjoy an array of activities including wine tasting and whale watching, kayaking, sailing, scuba diving and parasailing. On land activities include the world-class golf at the perfect Bayonet and Blackhorse Courses, eclectic restaurants and abundant shopping.
