In 2008, the Newport Beach Public Library completed its 88 years of service to the community. Way back in 1909, there was a community action to create a library. By 1920, a municipal library got established. By 1940, it was a bustling place with collection of Ebell Club 1,000 books. The Newport Beach Public Library foundation raises private funds to benefit the library.
