Camron-Stanford House is a Victorian mansion built in 1876. It is located at Lake Merritt. It takes its name from two early notable residents- the Camrons and the Josiah Stanford’s. The first family built the house and the other occupied it for the longest period.
The beautifully restored Italianate manor house gives a good glimpse into Oakland’s rich and colorful history. Paddleboat on Lake Merritt near this house is one of the most attractive spots to visit.
