Tourist Guide Palo Alto

Palo Alto in Spanish means “tall stick” and with reference to the city it means an aging redwood tree which is at the northern end of the city. Palo Alto is a small city and is full of life located on the Peninsula south of San Francisco.

It is home to the prestigious Stanford University and many top Sillicon valley technology companies which include names like Hewlett- Packard and Facebook.

This is a charter city in California situated on the northwestern edge of Santa Clara County which is in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. The population of this area is 58,000 residents.

The climate of the city has cool, dry summers with wet winters. Stanford university has a played a major role in the development of the city and industries which include the electronic industry and also number of small firms established by the university students.

One of these biggest company having its set up here is the Hewlett-Packard, built in an area that could estimated to be a large town, with approximately 25 car- parks, a huge swimming pool and a golf course and many more recreational activities.
