The city of Pleasanton (often recognised as the “P-Town”), is located at Alameda County in California. It is one of the main suburbs in the area of the San Francisco Bay. Pleasanton occupies an area of 21.8 square miles at an elevation of 348 feet. Pleasanton’s population as per 2007 census is 66544. The races residing in the city includes White, Asian, Native American, Pacific Islander and Latino or Hispanic. The city was incorporated in 1894 and was ranked by the Census Bureau as the wealthiest middle-sized cities of the United States. The temperature of Pleasanton during summers varies between 600 degree Fahrenheit and 900 degrees while the winters are cold with temperature ranging from 350 Fahrenheit to 50 degrees. Two main highways 1-580 and 1-680 cross through the city which avails easy transportation to the locals and travellers. The rail service is offered by Altamont Commuter Express in Pleasanton’s downtown region. The neighbouring cities include Fergus, Canada; Blair Gowrie and Rattray, Scotland and Tulancingo, Mexico.
