Pomona is famous for the California State Polytechnic University. It also houses Los Angeles County fairgrounds. The livestock exhibits at the fairs are a noted attraction. It is also well known for hosting the NHRA PowerAde Winter nationals Drag Racing.
The city has a good advantage from the entertainment offerings of Los Angeles. It also provides access to a variety of professional sporting attractions. Adobe de Palomares is a manor or country house which was the residence of the Palomares family and displays the heirlooms of the family along with furnishings and a glimpse of the life of the people over one hundred and fifty years ago.
The Railway and Locomotive Historical Society is a railway museum built in 1895 which displays railway artefacts, a Pullman business class car, a track motor car, a Santa Fe horse express car, a variety of locomotives and more. WK Kellogg Arabian Horse Centre is a ranch where one can practice horse riding.
