Quincy is located at Plumas County, California. The city is named after Quincy City in Illinois. It has an elevation of 1046 meters and it is in the Pacific Standard time Zone. The total area occupied by Quincy is nearly 41.2 square miles. According to the 2000 censes, the population of Quincy is 1879. About 90% of the population constitutes Whites. The rest includes Native American, Pacific Islander, African American, Asian and other races of Latino and Hispanic. Quincy is one among the three major mountain communities with reports of incorporation including Burney in Shasta County and Weaverville in Trinity County. It is the only city in Plumas County to own a big grocery store and a customary food charter. It has also got a subway. Quincy is famous for the High Sierra Music Festival.
