Tourist Guide Rancho Cordova
Rancho Cordova, a city of California is established in the year 2003. As of 2007, the city is home to around 59,056 people. The city got its current name, Rancho Cordova in the year 1955 when a post office was launched. Rancho Cordova is situated in the county of Sacramento and lies twelve miles east of the state capital of Sacramento. The government of Rancho Cordova has a council-manager structure. The educational system is served by the Elk Grove Unified School District and Folsom-Cordova Unified School District. The city houses three high schools namely the Folsom High School, Cordova High School and Vista del Lago High School. Rancho Cordova is blessed with four water facilities and one sewage treatment facility. For household usage and other business purpose electricity is supplied by SMUD and catering of natural gas is done by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. One unique thing about Rancho Cordova is that it is the only city whose public city is contracted with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
