Redding Municipal Airport is a city owned public use airport, situated six miles to the southeast of the central business district of Redding. This airport is one of the two airports situated in Redding city. The other airport is the Benton airpark. It is used mostly for general aviation and is served by two commercial airlines. Covering an area of 1,584 acres, the airport contains two asphalt paved runways. In 2006, this airport had 77,211 aircraft operations with an average of 211 aircraft per day. The mission of this airport is to offer traveling facilities to the public with excellent customer service.
