Some of the interesting parks in Redondo Beach is the Wilderness Park. This is an 11 acre oasis which was originally a Nike missile site decommissioned by the Federal Government. It got transferred to Redondo Beach in 1971 and offers many facilities. The park is available for overnight camp outs. There is no entrance fee as such for those who wish to visit the park.
