Redondo Beach is divided into North Redondo and South Redondo. South Redondo Beach is the neighborhood of Redondo and plays host to the pier and marina complex. It directly borders active Hermosa Beach. At the marina, it has a massive power plant with a source of substantial political debate in the city over the last decade. This neighborhood is a quiet area having wide streets and wide sand beaches which are laid back, making it a prime destination for the community.
