There are a number of streams that flow through this city including Cirby Creek, Dry Creek, Secret Ravine and Linda Creek.
The city previously thrived on agriculture and produced walnuts, fruits and rice. However, with time, the city developed a business section with several large retail shops which contribute to the economy of the city.
It has one of the largest Auto Malls, an electronic industry and a mix of housing and shopping opportunities.
Being in the north central region, the city experiences a temperate climate with high precipitation during winter storms which sweep down from the Pacific Ocean.
