Renting a car will give you personal flexibility to see the capitol city. For the ultimate in sightseeing, secure a stretch limo with a driver. A taxi cab ride out for dinner will give you the chance to sightsee as you ride too, or try riding in a Water Taxi for a leisurely trip down the Sacramento River and around the city. For exercise and transportation, rent a bike and travel down the 26-mile American River Bike Trail. A steam locomotive takes visitors on a time travel journey and for true time travel, step aboard a horse-drawn carriage. Do the “walking thing” through Old Sacramento for the ultimate in exploration. Bus and trolly service are other options.
