Drive, walk or bike over the Tower Bridge or simply admire the beauty of the stunning golden-colored Streamline Moderne structure and its radiant glow illuminated by the romantic nighttime lights.  Be impressed by the towers that rise 160 feet high and the bridges functional ability to lift vertically up and over the Sacramento River to allow water traffic to flow easily. The bridge connects West Sacramento to Sacramento and the California Capitol Mall.  It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places as it was the first vertical lift bridge built in California.
