The South Natomas neighborhood is in the direct flight pathway of airplanes from around the world because it is the home of the Sacramento International Airport and numerous nearby hotels for easy layovers. Basketball fans can catch the Sacramento Kings in action at the Power Balance Pavillion in South Natomas. For personal exercise and peace, visit the Bannon Creek Park and the jogging and bike paths and picnic areas. Track down and admire the over 400 art in the park displays in natural environments throughout the area and Sacramento. Take in the beauty and fragrance of the flowers at the Natomas Rose Garden or find an entertaining novel or DVD at the nearby South Natomas library. Hungry? Try the Pork Tenderloin entrée at the Firehouse Restaurant. It’s grilled and served on bed of granny smith apples braised with bacon and garnished with roasted shallots and an apple brandy-ivory sauce. The El Novillero Restaurant offers a killer Carnitas dinner platter, including rice, beans, avocado slices, pico de gallo and tortillas. Another favorite is the shredded beef Chimichanga Grande.
