San Clemente is located in Orange County, California and is six miles south of San Juan Capistrano, which is situated at the southern end of the county. The population of San Clemente as of the 2005 census was 65,900. San Clemente is approximately halfway from Los Angeles and San Diego. The northern entrance of Christianitos Gate is situated in San Clemente.
