San Diego International Airport is also called Lindbergh Field and is situated to the west of San Diego city in San Diego County in California.
The airport is owned and operated by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.
It is the busiest single runway, commercial airport in the United States and handles more than 18 million passengers annually with daily departures of 600 flights.
The main airlines operating from here include American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Express Airlines.
The airport has been ranked as the 4th best airport in North America by the International Airports Council.
In June 2008 the airport has plans to be served by twenty five airlines which will fly to fifty nine destinations including UK, US, Mexico and Canada.
