San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is in California, USA.
San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park was set up on 27 June 1988 and is a popular tourist spot in San Francisco. It is a good idea to start the trip by going to the Visitor Centre and collecting some information about the area. The most striking feature of this historical park is Balclutha, a nineteenth-century ship and a National Historic Landmark. There are other historic ships like the CA Thayer, Eureka and Elma positioned in this maritime park that are worth visiting. Housed in the Streamline Moderne building is the maritime museum which is a must visit. This museum has a collection that includes facts about evolution from wind to steam power, the one-man sailboat the Mermaid, mosaic works by famous artists and so forth.
